This question doesn't necessarily pertain to your school newspaper, but why does St. Mary's still keep, and release email addresses after students decide that they no longer wish to attend their school? I am a bit tired of finding messages much like this one from your school that just take up space in my inbox. As a matter of fact, you should probably bring this up in an article in your paper! Just a suggestion!
Hello, and thank you for your comment! We honestly appreciate anyone who takes the time to give us feedback.
As for the e-mail addresses, in April we received a list of students who indicated an interest in this university's national award-winning newspaper. Typically, St. Mary's Director of Admissions Richard Castillo provides this list, which is updated every few months. However, in late July of this year, Mr. Castillo passed away. I'm sure you can understand that some campus bookkeeping has since fallen behind in schedule.
Thank you for your patience and flexibility. We are sorry to inconvenience you and the size of your inbox. Perhaps next time, you can simply delete the message in question. Just a suggestion!
